Some will miss the configuration of buttons and bars on earlier Kindles, as the new Kindle 3 places the Menu, Home, and Back buttons adjacent to the keyboards and transforms the 5-way into something more trackpad-like, but for most of us all of this will be old hat within a week. Some will want to avoid doing anything to hasten the inevitable transition in publishing technologies, but their fingers in the dike of change will be seriously overmatched as the number of devices being used as ebook readers soars past 10 million in 2010, 20 million in 2011 and 60 million by 2015. Some will want to stay with print books and their favorite brick-and-mortar bookstores, but unfortunately over the course of the next five years the availability of these pleasures will decline dramatically, and by the end of the decade there will be far fewer print books manufactured and even fewer places to buy them.

Tentative.ly: Bookmark Events To Be Reminded Of Them Later
Online calendars and reminder services do a great job of keeping you updated with upcoming events. But opening up your calendar or reminder service to add the details of every new event is inconvenient for many computer users. Here to make the process far more convenient is a web service called Tentative.ly. Tentative.ly is a web service that helps you bookmarks events right from their webpages. After you create an account with the service by visiting its homepage, you can start making use of its helpful bookmarklet. Whenever you are on an online event’s webpage, click on the bookmarklet and a bar on top will drop down with fields corresponding to Name, Venue, Address, and Date. You can click on a field in the bar and highlight the corresponding text on the webpage to have it automatically copied in the field. You can make manual edits too. Clicking on the Save button in the bar bookmarks the events in your Tentative.ly list.

The increased spacing between list items (both sidebar and main panel list) helps readability quite a lot. I also appreciate the smaller album-art list view; for the first time I find myself leaving the in that view mode and using it to find music. The big, chunky old style just didn’t do it for me. The buttons on the bottom bar are much higher contrast and easy to spot; they are clearly inspired by the iPad’s interface.

August Rush. Because. Just because. Okay the whole premise stinks. One father is a real jerk. One thinks he is good but he’s a jerk. One doesn’t know it but he’s a jerk. Are you seeing it? Doesn’t matter because it’s an incredible movie. 2.) Secondhand Lions. Just see it and you’ll get it. Never has a death scene had me laughing so hard. 3.) Remember Me: Just watched it, I am sure it will stay with me for a while. The twist at the end was such a shocker. I usually see ‘em coming. Not in a million years did I expect this one.

Not my cup of err…vodka. Much rather have water. 2.) I have rang in the New Year at an ice-cream parlor..woohoo…Happy New Year, hot fudge Sundaes all around. 3.) I have never gone anywhere special. My DH used to go to San Fran for the New Year. Seriously, about the furthest I have gone is outside. 4.) I have rarely stayed up until midnight. Just not worth the migraine the next day. The best way to celebrate the new year is curled up in a warm bed sound asleep.

God. I know. He’s not REALLY a person. But He sorta is. And He loves me no matter what! And seriously people I am so stinkin’ unlovable. But He’s okay with that. He just hangs around waiting for me to turn to Him. Mike. Why this man loves me is beyond me but I know, I absolutely KNOW that Mike loves me. He’d do anything for me without even batting an eye. My FIL He’s gone now, but he used to call the house daily. He never failed to tell me what a good job we were doing with our kids. We knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that he was proud of our kids. My little man, Ski. Out of my 4 kids he’s the one. You know what I mean. The one.

Here are a few tips to gain more space for viewing websites in Opera. Hide menu bar Shrink entire menu bar to a small button in tab bar File > Show Menu Bar . You can also remove menu button Right click on menu button > Customize > Remove From Toolbar and access menus using Alt key. Menu button Disable address bar Disable address bar Tools > Appearance… > Toolbars > Address bar and access address bar functions using alternate methods. To access address bar button functions use mouse gestures or keyboard shortcuts . I did wear short shorts and white tees and have water fights and flirt with the guys. But (and here’s the big but) I have always resembled more of a Katie John than a Daisy Mae. And it only lasted until word got out that my big brother worked there. Jerk. 2.) Babysitting Crystal and Misty. The only real things I remember are: tuna, burned cake, american cheese slices and lost of National Geographics. Seriously, I thought those two summers were pretty darn fun. 3.) Working concession. Many times in my life, but the most fun was, of course, in highschool. We thought we were so cool drinking soda straight out of the fountain. 4.) Church nursery. Worst.job.ever.
