My husband I wanted simple silver wedding bands. We first explored platinum — Gulp! ?The price was over-the-top. ?After exploring further, we decided to go with tungsten, the hardest substance next to diamonds. Our tungsten-carbide bands are guaranteed to never scratch; and, so far, they haven’t! They shine like mirrors. We get a lot of compliments on them, and unlike platinum, we’ll never have to have the scratches buffed out. DeBebians was even able to offer the ring a nice fat 12mm size 4 for me. I love it! ?Both rings for about $250. Now that’s love. I’ll recommend DeBebians to anyone who asks.
Funny how all of the sudden pearl earrings, after my review, there are two new reviews with 5 stars. ?Friend of yours I assume….As for you calling me a liar. ?First of all, I never denied any offer that was made to me. ?I accepted it as the best that your company could do, which is why I sent my ring back to you in the first place. ?An no, you dont charge by a percentage, but the amount you were charging me for the lifetime guarantee was 30% of my purchase price. ?Do the math…Here are our emails and what Maggie had to say. This email starts after I had called EFA Diamonds to find out what I have to do to send my ring back for its lifetime guarantee. ?In this conversation I was told that I was going to be charged a replacement fee, a sizing fee and shipping. ?Which came out to be around $115 when my original purchase price was $185. ?This is when I asked to talk to a manager about the “Lifetime Guarantee”. ?Maggie and I spoke in length about the policy that EFA Diamonds has in place, and I expressed my feelings about how their policy is a huge misrepresentation of a “Lifetime Guarantee”. ?I would have expected to have to pay for shipping but to me a “Lifetime Guarantee” says that the item is replaced without further charges if it breaks. ?Simple! Here is our conversation after Maggie had offered me a few discounts, WHICH I HAD ALREADY ACCEPTED AND WAS PLANNING TO SEND MY RING BACK, and then she read my review on yelp. ?Notice the last sentence of the first email, as if she now plans to not honor the discounts she originally offered because I had a negative experience and expressed it. And then, the last email by Sam wholesale jewelry, who now refuses to offer any discounts whatsoever. Jolena,I spoke with you earlier today regarding your lifetime guarantee for your husbands tungsten wedding ring that has broken. I am sad to see that you have posted such a negative review about our company, especially based on the fact that we are really trying to help you by waiving some of these fees for you. As we discussed over the phone Body Jewelry, your ring is not available in a finger size 13. ?The largest size available is a 12. ?Also, as we discussed over the phone, our lifetime guarantee information is stated on the website for all customers to read prior to making their purchase. Please let me know what we can do in order to rectify this situation. We did offer you discounts but it seems that you are misrepresenting our company in your review based on what we have offered you. I will wait to hear your reply prior to processing your lifetime guarantee. Regards,MaggieMaggie,The lase sentence of your email sounds like a threat, as if you are not going to honor the lifetime guarantee, or the waiving of shipping and sizing fee based on my review. ?My review was factual and not at all a misrepresentation. ?If someone reads it then it is up to them to analyze the information and criticize the situation. ?If they seem to feel that your “rules” for a lifetime guarantee are the industries standard then I am wrong in my thinking, but its my guess that the rest of the public would agree with my statements. ?I will be happy to go back and edit my comment and make sure to mention the fee waivers that you are giving me. ?My apologies for forgetting to do so. ?I will be sending my ring back today.JolenaJolena,I have just read your updated review and it portrays EFA Diamonds in an even worse manner than before. I am very disappointed that you feel so negative about our company and its policies. I will be passing all this information on the owner of the company. He will be more than happy to see what we can offer you from here on out. I simply asked you to review the facts and to not misrepresent our company and/or it’s polices and to include our complete conversation in your review so that it was a full and accurate representation. It seems that even us waiving so many fees still is not good enough for you. Please do not return your ring until I pass this information along to see what we can offer you. Thanks,MaggieJolena,Both Elaine and Maggie have informed me of your situation with your husbands wedding ring. I have also read the emails back and forth between you and Maggie as well as your review about our company and its polices that you posted on Yelp! I am truly sorry that you seem to be so upset and frustrated with this situation. It seems that Maggie has authorized discounts for your lifetime guarantee including waiving the custom finger size fee and the return shipping & handling ($65 in value) but that doesn’t seem the be satisfactory. Based on the fact that all of our polices, etc are clearly stated on the website as well as your inaccurate review of my company on Yelp, we will no longer be authorizing any discounts.Maggie did ask that you hold off on returning your ring however, we have received it in the mail. Please feel free to contact me at the number below.Regards,Sam

How many times have I walked/driven past this place and had no idea it was one of my best friend’s favorite designers – whose dresses I secretly coveted. ?Well now I no longer have to covet hers because all it took was a visit from said friend and now I have my very own dress. ?Carol Young uses this wonderful (eco-friendly!) crinkly material that is awesome for travelling because you can literally scrunch it up into a ball and stick it in its bag. ?The dresses in particular are also extremely flattering pieces. ?She also carries some really cool jewelry and accessories. So glad I’m enlightened now.
I’m not a clothes guy by any strectch of the imagination but this girl knows fashion. ?I dropped by her HQ in LA with a friend of mine and saw the most amazing pieces. ?Simple, efficient and beautiful. ?I bought a couple of items for my girlfriend and she loved it! ?You can’t go wrong with Carol Young!
Hey Adriel L, good move for your girlfriend! ?That seriously was a clever choice bc you cant go wrong for being original and pick a beautiful piece by Carol Young for a gal. ?I went in last week with my friend, just browsing and saw lots of cute stuff. ?Sorry, didnt carry the dough and wasnt planning to shop that day, but I’m going back to see what else they’ll put on the racks someday soon. ?Boutique shopping is totally fun wholesale jewelry, but its especially great when you take your friends along. ?They had really nice winter suit pieces and wool skirts. ?Until next time!

The Los Feliz Location.Super hot. Hot as in hawt.Cute little “exotic” socks and even better selection for urban jewelry — and I say urban because, seriously, grams ain’t gonna be stretching out her ears (even though she’s really got nothing to lose with all that loose skin on those lobes…)Customer service is A+ and the prices haven’t been infected by Silverlake egotism… best yet, open on Sundays!
I discover this location by chance since I was looking for the address for the Melrose location. Ever since then Stainless Steel Earrings, I’ve been coming to this Maya. Not only is it closer, but parking is easier to find. Meter parking is available right in front of the store. This is the only place that carries my L-shape surgical steel nose ring. The price is a bit higher than I like, but they have a variety of styles available. (I’ve seen some other places sell nose rings online but the styles are slim and unappealing.) The workmanship is also very good. Of all the nose rings I purchased Wholesale Bridal Jewelry, none of the jewel has fallen off. This is my go to place for nose rings Vintage Costume Jewelry!
This is the spot. ?I get all my pendants here and people stop me daily with compliments. ?My turquoise piece I got from there always gets ?he ladies’ attention. ?The owner is real cool too and her dog is fun to play with.

i needed to get a dog tag necklace engraved. didn’t know where to go. was shopping at the grove and asked the cashier at world market. she was nice enough to direct me here. the place is very small Stainless Steel Jewelry, and is a family type business. which i like. the gentleman who works there, not sure if he’s the owner is very nice. he is the engraver. was very patient with me as i didn’t realize how many “fonts”, etc, there were to engraving a name. well, looks great. even better then i had expected. also, the price was only $12.00. not per letter, for the whole thing. a real deal in L.A. i highly recommend this place.
I got a zippo engraved yesterday in under 8 minutes and it only ?cost 13 dollars. ? Employees were cheery and i got to look around the farmers market while i waited. ?an overall good experience. ?It should be noted that this place is in the very center of the farmerrs market. ?i did have some troubule finding it.
I came by here while at the Farmers Market in search of a business card case. ?Plus, I wanted it to be engraved with my name so I figured it would be sensible to do both at the same spot. ?The guy was super nice about whipping out every case model he had available. If I saw one design and asked for a different color, he would try and find it for me. ?Unfortunately, non of the designs really “spoke” to me so I left empty handed.Nice service, ok selection…. I’ll come back if I need an engraving.

Personal service and quality product. I have been and will continue to go to Carats & Gold for all of my jewelry. My wife’s engagement ring, my custom medallion and again for the upgrade on my wife’s ring were done here. Knowledge of the current trends and styles with masterfully skilled craftwork.
Diamonds and Custom DesignsWe were looking for diamonds and settings so I asked a number of friends for recommendations. My friend’s best friend’s brother had a business so I asked for all their info so I can make an appointment to check out what they had. I guess I was expecting a showroom but all we got were several loose diamonds to look at and a small variety of settings we could choose from Sterling Silver Rings, but we had our picture of the setting we wanted and all they had to do was created it for us if they could. We talked for hours and hours it seemed to find out what we truly wanted. Jack was very helpful and we ended up not going with our design but a design we liked that he had but we asked for modifications. Jack told me two weeks but it arrived after one week and I was able to secretly go get it so I can surprise the love of my life. After getting the price from Jack I had to call and ask him a second time if the price he gave me was correct. He had given us a price that was close to $200 off what other people in the area were quoting. The workmanship was good and when I placed it on my loves finger it was so magnificent and beautiful. Though the diamond I brought and had set were not from Carat & Gold. I just bought a custom setting from them. Two thumbs up for this place!

I’ve learned to hate the snooty, condescending, over-priced Montrose Jewelers. ?If you are looking for a lower priced item, be prepared for an insulting comment such as “maybe you should go to a department store and get something in a box”, etc. ?They seem to prey on insecure people who can’t perceive quality for themselves and only know how to make a statement through overpriced glitter. ?It’s kind of sad…|||This establishment has some of the worst service I have ever experienced.I went in to get a finger sized and the middle-aged man in the back showed me a ring sizer that I could buy for $5. He said his sizing units were not in the store, so my only option was to buy the sizer. My vibes tell me he obviously did not want to help and that he might have been lying.|||I went in here to get a pair of little diamond earrings for myself – and basically was told that my business was not worth their time if I wasn’t willing to buy bigger, more expensive earrings. When I explained that they were to be for my ‘second’ ear piercings and that’s why I needed them to be smaller, the owner told me that I should just leave! ?Then he turned around, sat back down and continued drinking his coffee and completely ignored me and my shocked expression.Don’t bother with this place Stainless Steel Pendants!!|||This place is AWFUL! ?Do not spend a dime in here. ?The customer service is horrible! ?I went in to buy a ring and old man behind the counter accused me of “just looking for my ring size and not looking to buy” which was so far from the truth. When he told me the price of a smaller size ring and I asked to try it in a larger size..he said “no Stainless Steel Rings! ?I am not selling” and proceeded to walk to the back of the store. ?Leaving me standing there confused and offended as well as locked up in the store, I yelled to let me out. ? After a while an older woman buzzed me out of the shop. ? This experience completely turned me off on this shop and overall left me with a bad feeling about Montrose. ?They should be ashamed and I am glad they did not get any of my business.|||I was shocked at how rudely I was treated here this afternoon. I went in to ask if I could get my ring fixed and instead of trying to fix it, Henry tried to talk me into resetting the entire thing (which is extremely costly). When I said the ring was passed down in my family and I didn’t want to go this route, he told me that the ring was basically not worth fixing. He said he’d take the ring for the day, but his jeweler might not even take on the job because it wasn’t worth it so I’d have to pick it up the next day. My ring was just not worth his effort and I wasn’t spending enough at his shop to be worth his time. I didn’t like being treated this way so I said I would take the ring elsewhere and he said, “Good. I was hoping you would say that. I don’t want the hassle.” What??! I replied that I would be sure to tell everyone about how he treated me and he said, “Good. Do that. Put it in the newspapers.” His tone was smug and rude and I am shocked he is able to stay in business. I may not be putting this in in “the newspaper” but I will be sure to post this review on facebook. ?I totally agree with the reviewer who said this place is “AWFUL.” Do not give this place your business. I went right down the street to Executive Jewelers who were more than willing to fix my ring for a very fair price and they were very nice about it, too.

This is a great place to go if you want to simply get your watch’s battery replaced. I first did a quick yelp search “fix watch” in the 90024 area. Boy, there’s a ton of poorly rated watch repair stores around here. Tell Time Watches reallly stood out. I then went on a Saturday morning. TTW is right next to a 7-11 and has 3 parking spaces in front. When I walked in I was immediately greeted and asked what I needed. I said, I would like to get a new battery for this watch. They said, okay just be aware that once we open it we can’t guarantee it’ll remain water proofed. I said, okay. I was worried it might take a long time (meaning more than 10 mins),  but in less than 5 mins the guy returned the newly fixed watch back to me and said, $8.64 please. DEAL!I paid in cash since they only accept credit for $10+. I will return again!*New battery for $8.64!
I dropped off a watch that was having issues (it had stopped working even though the battery had been recently replaced). They said they could fix it in a couple weeks. Everything was done on time and cost about 60 bucks. They threw in a brand new battery as well.Very nice people at the desk, and a lot of good cash-only deals if youre looking for new watch.Would be back again if I have another problem!
I had a great experience with Tell Time Watches. ?They fixed the loose clasp on my watch for free (as they did with other Yelpers) and replaced a watch battery for $10. ?They also have a great selection of inexpensive watch bands, which is just what I needed to replace my husband’s broken strap.Speedy service and great prices, I’ll definitely be back next time I need a repair.
I needed a new battery for my watch, and based on the reviews, it looked like this was the place to do it.Couldn’t have been easier. I was greeted right when I walked in, she worked on my watch immediately, and I paid and was out the door in under 10 minutes. Honest people, quick service, and reasonable pricing. There are a few reserved parking spots for the store right in front, so even parking was easy.
Close, fast, affordable & really friendly! Definitely the place to go for your timekeeping needs.
My wife and I have been occasional customers here for years. ?Not so much to buy watches — we already have ones we like. But modern watches run on batteries, which have to be changed occasionally. ?When that happens, we take the watch to Tell Time.Just did that this morning. ?The staff was polite bead caps, as always. I walked in a couple of minutes after my wife, and somebody came up to the counter to see if I wanted anything. When she assured them I was with her, they quietly went back to what they were doing. After that I looked around curiously, just to see if they had any watches with a digital display. And they did. Some fancy-schmancy places only have watches with analog-style faces (hands on a dial), but Tell Time has at least a smattering of digital face watches. And in the time it took me to walk in and walk around the (fairly small) shopfront once, my wife’s watch battery was replaced. $6+change for the whole thing. Pretty darn good.In fact, there’s really only one thing wrong: there are no chairs for customers to sit in. If you go in when they’re not busy (as was the case today), that’s not a problem. But sometimes you may have to wait half an hour or so because there are other people ahead of you. Then the lack of a chair can be inconvenient. But aside from that, this is a fine store.
I had a watch where the clasp was loose so the watch would un-clasp frequently throughout the day while I was wearing it.I took the watch in, thinking I had to replace the entire clasp. The guy offered to adjust the existing clasp and see if that will fix it before replacing it. ?I hear him hammer (?) the clasp a few times, then he gives it to me. ?the clasp is tight and good as new!I asked him how much I owned him. ?He said “free of charge”. woohoo!I was in and out of there in less than 5 minutes. I liked that there were 3 parking spaces in this small lot dedicated to Tell Time Watches. ?I did not like that when I was trying to leave, there were 2 cars waiting for my 1 spot, so I had to maneuver and squeeze out to get out of that parking lot.
Nice customer service. They had the exact watch band that I needed.
I somehow bent the clasp on my citizen watch and it wouldn’t latch. ?They fixed it in five minutes for free! (Of course I gave them a tip…)
I can see this is a great rated place leather cord, which makes my experience all the more bewildering.I brought in a watch that needed a new battery. ?It’s a diver’s watch, so after replacement the watch needs to be properly resealed. ?It’s a factory job they can’t do onsite. ?The guy told me he’d send it to the company, and he would call me in two days with an estimate. He said he needed a $50 deposit. I gave him the deposit and the watch. After 2 weeks I still had not heard from them, so I stopped in to ask. ?A lady told me she would call the factory and call me back in a day or so. ?Another week went by and I heard nothing. ?I stopped in again, and was told the factory didn’t have that type of battery. ?(We’re talking about the original company that made the watch, according to them.) ?So I was told they would get the watch back and call me to pick up when it arrived. ?No call again. I stopped in two weeks after that, picked up the watch which still needed a battery, and got my deposit back. ?I asked why they never called me when they said they would, and got the answer, “the factory didn’t have the battery.” ?Huh?? ?No apology whatsoever, no concern, just a “oh well sh*t happens” attitude. ?They had the watch for 5 weeks and never contacted me at all. ?I think if I hadn’t asked about it I would never have heard from them again. ?So how much do I think about Tell Time watches? ?No more than they thought about me.
I buy my watches with the intention of wearing them in the shower because I’m one of those people who’ll forget something unless it’s physically attached to them. ?Needless to say, my watches break every 1-2 years. ?I brought my latest casualty in to see if they could fix it, and the guy explained that waterproof/resistant watches can handle water but the steam from showers is the real killer. ?I wish I’d found that out 3 watches ago. ?He said it would have to be repaired by the manufacturer. ?So I got a replacement watch a few weeks later and took it here to get the links removed ($8). ?Hopefully I can remember not to shower with this one, and I’ll definitely be returning to Tell Time in the future.
This shop was very helpful in getting a battery replaced in a Kenneth Cole watch I had as well as for a battery change and a pin replaced on the strap. All this for $25 and took about 15 minutes. Big fan!
The battery in my Longines watch stopped working after I got it replaced at some shady jeweler in Monterey Park for a highly inflated price. ?When I went back to the shady jeweler, they said it was not the battery but that I needed to service my watch for $100.I decided to get a second opinion and came here based on the stellar reviews. ?They confirmed my suspicion that it was the battery and replaced it for $12, which is cheaper than the other place. ?My watch works just fine now. ?I’m stoked to find a place with reasonable prices and honest service. ?I plan to come here with all my watch needs from now on!
This place is AWESOME! ?For years, I’ve brought every watch here for every single watch-related thing: change batteries, replace watch bands, adjust metal bracelet-type watch bands, fix watches, etc. – and every time they are friendly, handle it fast, and rarely charge me over $10.The last time I was here, I brought in my dad’s watch that speaks the time when you push a button because it stopped working one day. ?The fact that we had no manual or anything didn’t stop these guys – within 10 minutes, they had replaced the 2 batteries inside, set the watch arms for time AND the voice for time (how the hell, I do not know!) and were charging me less than $10.It’s a family-owned business that’s been here for SO long, so it makes me feel good to go to them and recommend them. ?Plus, they’re in the 7-11 parking lot so there’s plenty of spaces to choose from. ?Again, AWESOME!!
I’ve been trying to find a reliable place to take my watches and I’ve finally found it. ?So far I’ve only had them do a battery replacement and an extra notch on my watch-strap, but they did both quickly, very well, and cheaply. ?Everyone was very courteous (but not overly friendly), however I’d prefer courtesy and great results rather then overly friendly and poor results (which is what a lot of other places offer). ?This place is sort of hidden (right next to a 7-11) and so it looks kinda shady, but its definitely reliable.
I went here to get my watchband replaced. ?They measured the width of the band and took out a band that was fairly thin looking compared to my watch face. ?They said this fit, but then they said it wouldn’t look good and then they pulled out a thicker looking band and said the watch looked better with the watch and they said it doesn’t fit correctly but we can file it down and make it work. ?That was a cool thing for them to do. ?They took the time to make sure everything would fit and look nice. ?I also came back here to replace my watch battery. ?They worked fast and installed it without any problems. ?Great and reliable place to get your battery replaced. ? They also sell a large assortment of timepieces.
I was looking for a watch shop to clean and repair my watch. Tell Time fit the bill. Great service, reasonable prices, quick turnaround, and great results.
Friendly staff, quick and easy service- and they only charged me $6.95 for my new watch battery! ?Which also makes me very irritated about getting ripped off the last time I replaced it a couple years ago in Santa Monica- 15 F-ING DOLLARS?!? ?Grrrr. ?Those other a-holes also tried to convince me that my watch needed “servicing”- a claim which the girl at Tell Time quickly dismissed as a scam. ?Thanks for the honesty, Tell Time. ?I will now take my watches to them and perhaps buy my next one there someday, since they have a huge and reasonably priced selection.
I like this place. They have good prices and excellent customer service. I have been dealing with them for years. They have nice watchs for every budget. I have given a few watchs for gifts, which were timex brand, for only $20.00 They are worth the while to cruise by, even if it is just for a battery change.
My coworker and I went in here on a lunch break to get our batteries replaced. I expected to be waiting around for 20 minutes while they took care of them…but they were lightning fast! 2 minutes flat. Done. And they were significantly cheaper than watches places at the mall…sold.Definitely going back here for any repairs or batteries in the future.
I used yelp to find a good inexpensive place to get some watch batteries replaced. Tell time deserves it’s high rating! They fixed the watches on the SPOT. Took 10 minutes for 2 watches and the total was $12 bucks. NICE ONE. I shall return.
The battery in my wife’s Casio Baby G-shock was dead and we took it to a typical mall watch place. ?The guy there told us that we had to get a special “solar powered” battery that had to be special ordered. ?The thing was that there were no solar panels on the watch! We took it to Tell Time as a recommendation from friends. The staff there was really attentive and knew their stuff. It took them about 20 seconds after opening the back to figure that all was well and that we did not need a special battery. They said that they have been there 30+ years and that they are cleaning up after several of these places that have tried to rip off customers that come to them. The place is small, but they are pretty busy for a stand-alone shop. It’s tucked away right next to a 7-Eleven but it seems everyone in the Westside knows to come to them. They also have a pretty extensive collection of Seiko, Citizen, Tag Heuer, Casio, Skagen and Swatches on sale for men and women. I took my Dad later and we both picked up a watch and they had it sized and everything. The price was right as they were running a nice special at 40% off. ?They had some titanium ones on sale there too for 50% off. They have a permanent customer in me! ?Highly recommended!
Got a watch band shortened, $8, quick decent service.
I had the exact experience expressed by other posters. ?Amazing customer service, great repair location.
Don’t be fooled by the hand-written signs outside… this place is great! As everyone else says mother of pearl jewelry, quick service and very reasonably priced. I had links taken out of a brand new watch done right on the spot. They also replaced a battery in another watch. I was in and out in fifteen minutes.
This place has been around for years and I’m glad because where would I go when I need to take care of my watch? Although I have purchased my watches elsewhere or have gotten them as gifts from other places, I can ALWAYS swing by here to get my battery replaced or get extra links for my watch (yeah my fat wrists don’t always fit the model as they come…darn it!). ?They are in the corner, sharing a lot with 7-Eleven and they do have 3 specified spots so you don’t have to worry about parking and it never gets too crowded. ?It seems to be owned by an Asian family, a staple of people who take care of my every need. ?While the older generation are on the stoic side, they still promptly take care of my needs at a reasonable price. ?I don’t have to worry about a pretentious attitude like some of the higher end stores. ?They take care of watches from Fossil to Citizen to Seiko to Tag, no questions asked. ?They have always been dependable and I’m glad I can rely on that. ?I just walked in today to purchase some extra links on my watch from Christmas. ?While they didn’t have the links immediately available, the order will be back in no time flat and they will add the links on at no extra cost when they do come in! Like I said, I really like coming here to take care of my watches and I’m glad that they’ve been around all these years for me to keep coming. ?Dependability and the fact that they have always been able to help me out keep me coming back!
Reliable, straight-up local business. ?Family operation, one store. ?Large selection of watches, service is always curteous and professional. ?Will fix watches and clocks. ?Do not deal with high-end luxury watches.

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a pirate opening a treasure chest laden with magnificent jewels/stones or to be a Queen in her privy chamber gazing at her extensive jewelry? Skip Johnny Depp’s latest sequel to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and head to Rocks & Runes in Burbank.Rocks & Runes is a spiritual jewerly/rock/crystal store and rune-reading site (personally read by the owner Wendy). Don’t know much about spiritual stones/gems? Not a problem because Wendy knows EVERYTHING. She has years and years of experience and has literally traveled the world. Feeling stressed at work? She has a stone for you. Physical pain? Yup, she has that solved. Need a stone for a pendulum? Done. From turquoise, quartz, moonstone, cat’s eye, to lapis lazuli, onyx, and coral… she has you covered and then some. Wendy gets all her products from trade shows and worldwide suppliers fine jewelry, so you don’t have to worry that she simply stole a piece of river stone from the landscaping department of Lowe’s. Perhaps you aren’t into the metaphysical energies of stones/gems and might shy away from the store. Even if you think it is all a bunch of hooey, Rocks & Runes is a wonderful source for unique rings, necklaces, earrings, and bracelets you won’t find elsewhere. If you are looking for a stunning piece to accent your favorite outfit or a gift that the receiver will receive daily compliments on, then Rocks & Runes is the perfect place. The stones are polished beautifully in an array of colors. I am obsessed with stone rings and saw about 10 on my first trip to the store which I would love to own. Prices are a little steep (a small stone can run $8 which may be high for someone not into stones or crystals) but are worth the quality. The pirates would be in heaven. The best part is the store itself. Spacious, a nice layout (it is categorized by stones/colors), and with a great energy; I felt very much at peace in the store. It is almost like an escape into another world. Whether you want to believe it is all the stone energies or just simply a cool shop, it is certainly a place to visit. Wendy is a bit busy (the store generally has non-stop customers) and can get preoccupied, forgetting to welcome you to the store or gets caught up on the phone while trying to ring you out; but she is very kind and friendly… just has her hands full so don’t take it personally. Other services offered: jewelry fittings (putting stones into settings, tightening ring bands, etc) and rune readings. I can’t vouch for the rune reading at this time but if nothing else, I’m sure it is interesting.Rocks & Runes is one of my favorite stores with a great location amongst the vintage stores and boutiques in Burbank along Magnolia. Everyone always says an establishment “is a gem” but Rocks & Runes truly is.
This place is simply fantastic – one of my all-time favorite places to go! ?Fabulous selection of crystals and jewelry and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgable. ?I come here when I need a present or want to treat myself to a little something – always end up finding something amazing pocket watches for men!Check it out you won’t be disappointed!!!!!
This store is my favorite store on Magnolia and of all time. ?I go into the shop on a weekly basis because it has such a welcoming vibe to it. Every time I visit, I have a different experience but I always have a good time. ?Wendy does very truthful runes readings. ?She has helped me multiple times in my life whenever I had a decision to make and always reminds me that I have free will and that nothing is written in stone which is comforting. My credit card, however, cannot get enough of her jewelry. ?They are high quality and full of meaning. ?From fire opals, to turquoise, to bloodstone, you name it, she will have it. I always receive compliments whenever I wear them out. ? They are my most treasured possessions and I will keep coming back for more! ?Thank you, Wendy!
Quick review of the store. Emphasize “quick” because I literally walked in and out. It was my first time there and I was thrilled to go stone shopping. I’m giving this place 2 stars because it is very stocked and has a nice selection of jewelry. But horrid customer service. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in so I just browsed around on my own. I must have been there 10 mins total and nobody even looked at me. The lady behind the counter was helping a customer but she could have at least acknowledged my presence. Won’t be coming back. Very obnoxious place.
This is a review on the rune reading.I’ll say that Wendy is super nice. I am a little surprised at any negative reviews I saw about the people working here. The rocks are also gorgeous. But onto the reading:I’ve been told that a good rune reading leaves you feeling content and at peace. I left and had a panic attack envisioning the things I was told as my future. I don’t 100% believe in psychics, but I was hoping for guidance rather than statements of what was “going to happen”. I also felt there were a few things that happened that tipped me off as being a bit hokey – like insinuating an interest in business (I was wearing a blazer for an audition I had immediately after), the door opening and saying that a spirit had walked in? I did think a lot of the advice she gave was valid/great, but they’re pretty universal. . .I personally won’t be going back, but it just wasn’t for me!
Love this store. Wendy is amazing and so knowledgeable! She always knows what works for me. Also great runes and pendulum readings. It’s definitely my favorite store for all my jewelry and crystals. Can’t wait to go back to California for a shopping spree…i need some red Jasper :)
I’ve been here for about 3, 4 times now. 3 for readings.I’m started to feel this place is overpriced with its stock. A rock salt candle holder would be around $25 here, but $18 elsewhere. I’ve also been wanted to get the cross cut thin agate stones but they were always around $18 and I couldn’t justify buying the price. Recently I bought one for $6 bucks which was the exact same thing. At first I thought this place was moderately priced, but after shopping around I found that its actually really expensive for what it is.With the readings, Wendy always starts out with your numerological chart, which is always a good reminder but after 3 times of it you kind of don’t want to hear about it anymore. Honestly, I always go at a point in my life where I am stuck or confused. I know Wendy has all good intentions. However recently, I don’t leave feeling “content” or “at peace” as another review said. I am even more confused than I was before, and discouraged, maybe even a little sad. She didn’t tell me anything that I didn’t already know.Wendy is super nice, friendly wholesale jewelry supplies, and gives good advice – but nothing that my friends and family couldn’t give me. I love Wendy’s two dogs. I probably won’t be back again.
Wendy is amazing, my Rune reading are so insightful and positive, whenever i need guidance this is the place to go. On the weekends there are also geodestiny readings by CJ which are also insightful and helpful!! Go with an open mind and you will leave happy!
My new go to place to get spiritual jewelry! I haven’t bough jewelry for myself in about 10 years. I went in around my birthday to get myself some Tiger’s Eye for my new birth year and now I’m a certified RNR addict. As Wendy (who is great!) pointed out, there are worse things to be addicted to. Plus little Rocky (I think he’s Wendy’s dog) is so cute. His name is Rocky! He’s a big dog trapped in a tiny dogs body! How can you not love a jewelry store with a mascot?!
The best thing about this store is the great selection. However, I will not be going back because everything else about the experience of shopping there was terrible. The first and most important deterrent to shopping here is the outrageous prices. The markup is far beyond anywhere else I have shopped for stones, particularly compared to the great deals you can get online. I bought a stone there for $16 and the very next day found a nicer specimen for $5 and it was already drilled to be made into jewelry!!!!Which brings me to my next problem with this store–they won’t do returns OR exchanges. Although I was told over the phone that I could return for store credit, I went all the way back to the store only to find out that they refused to honor that policy!!!Besides that, the parking situation is atrocious and they charge OUTRAGEOUS fees to have a hole drilled in a loose stone. I recommend staying far away from this store unless you have a LOT of extra money to throw away and don’t care about getting a good deal.
OMG! This place is a gold mine! (… or maybe a stone mine.) ?They have a little bit everything: ?Loose rocks, wired rocks, gorgeous rings, necklaces, pendants, bracelets, earrings, even LAYAWAY! ?Everything is very natural looking rather than manufactured. You’re bound to fall in love with something!
This place is a sanctuary. Wendy is God Sent. She gave me a rune reading and changed my life. Literally. Please go there if you want to be enlightened. The jewelry is amazing and unique as well.
I can’t say enough about this place! I first stumbled upon Rocks and Runes during their opening night which also (thank the stars for my luck) happened to be Holiday in the Park on Magnolia. I swear it was love at first sight. Before coming to this place, I thought jewelry was just some mundane sparkly object people wear to show off BUT boy was I wrong. I had never seen so much beautiful items in such close proximity to one another. Who knew that rocks could be so stunning? All the rings, pendants, earrings, you name it, are so beautiful and one of a kind. I could just get lost in this shop. That first night I bought two items…an amber ring and a necklace for my friend. I have been coming back ever since. To top it off the staff is super helpful! Wendy, the owner, is so wonderful and sweet. And she has two very cute chihuahuas in the store sometimes that she likes to call the “Welcome Committee!” very cute! When my boyfriend figured out this was my favorite jewelry store, he comes in every once in a while to get me presents and he always tells me about how nice and helpful the staff was.
Love the stone selection here. Wendy, the owner, is a wonderful soul and very knowledgeable. Come and be surprised at the variety of gems here!Curbside parking near the store is limited- I’ve had to park a ways up Lima St.

The most welcoming shop in Burbank! Rocks & Runes used to be in the boonies (sorry, Sunland!) on a tiny corner up a flight of stairs. As I recall, despite its location, Rocks & Runes was always crowded, with Wendy, the owner, busily showing her customers her array of gorgeous, hand-picked gemstones or using her pendulum to determine which gems vibed stronger for each person. It was worth seeking out.Now this friendly and magical store is here in Burbank, right off of Magnolia. She carries all types of jewelry and gemstones of all sizes and shapes. To just step inside is to be delighted: the happy, loving energy is amazing. Wendy also does runes readings for $25, which I highly recommend. It’s also a great place to find gifts, although there’s always the danger that you’ll want to keep them for yourself!
Honestly one of my favorite places in Burbank. ?I’ve done Christmas shopping here and of course I wanted to keep everything for myself. ?It was rough giving stuff up! ?Also I thought about their amethyst candle holders for a whole year before I finally went back and bought one. ?Everyone who comes over and sees it in my living room thinks the glow is magical.Moonstones are my absolute favorite…and I love the sterling silver settings here. ?And the whole staff is super friendly and knowledgeable – they will help you put together the perfect piece. ?They’ve also expanded the store and changed the layout to hold even more awesome stuff!!The bags they give you for your purchases are very nice and can be used over and over again. ?Every time I find myself in this part of town, I have to go in. ?Highly recommended!
Wendy is still awesome! She’s very honest and straightforward. This lady will give you great advice, even if you meet her for the first time. I can’t wait to visit her and her store again!
The name says it all! ?There’s not a whole lot to the place, but what you’ll find there is wonderful! ?Some of the most beautiful stone I have ever seen and the owner Wendy is the sweetest and most helpful person ever! ?I spent a lot more money than I should have. ?My only suggestion would be that they carry more new age products. ?Yes they have runes, but no tarot cards, incense, altar supplies, etc. ?But for someone who is a collector of rocks and stones, you won’t be disappointed and for those of you looking for some basic new age supplies, classes or readings, a great find. ?I also found an amazing variety of jewelry and books.Monster Bears Pro Cheap
I love this place- a total sanctuary in the chaos that can be LA! The atmosphere is so relaxing and welcoming, I feel like I could stay forever =) Wendy and her staff are wonderful (and knowledgeable) and have helped me and my friends choose the best stones and gems to suit our individual needs. They are extremely honest, as during multiple occasions, Wendy has chosen the right piece for me, even if it’s FAR below the cost of something else I was considering. I bring all my friends here, and whether or not they believe in the magic of rocks, they are never sorry ?=)
I went for an updated session with Wendy. Her predictions came true regarding a change in my residence that I had no idea would be coming as well as how to navigate through some relationship woes. Can’t recommend this place enough.
AMAZING! this is definetly aLinks Of London Online magical place, I walked in looking for Sage, I came out with Sage and my spirit was glowing, my first time there, I felt so comfortable, had a great feeling, a quick run in for Sage somehow turned into 2 hours and Im not sure where time went! I highly recommend this place for people who are just begining to learn ( like me) other than her great name “Wendy” wich is also my name, she was awesome! she is very knowledable! check it out! you will love it! Thank you Wendy! what a great experience I had…. ?: )

How many times have I walked/drivenMonster beats by Dre past this place and had no idea it was one of my best friend’s favorite designers – whose dresses I secretly coveted. ?Well now I no longer have to covet hers because all it took was a visit from said friend and now I have my very own dress. ?Carol Young uses this wonderful (eco-friendly Wholesale Costume Jewelry!) crinkly material that is awesome for travelling because you can literally scrunchTiffany Jewellery Cheap it up into a ball and stick it in its bag.
?I bought a couple of items for my girlfriend and she loved it Cubic zirconia jewelry! ?You can’t go wrong with Carol Young wholesale Silver Jewelry!
?Boutique shopping is totally fun, but its especially great when you take your friends along.Christian Louboutin Sandals uk
?They had really nice winter suit pieces and wool skirts. ?Until next time!

I love Emerald Forest. This store has the most unique items I have ever seen. There is everything from fine jewelry, cook books, coffee table books, ?mirrors, etc.For Mother’s Day I was looking for the perfect gift. I found it ?at Emerald Forest. My mom travels a lot for work. I found a cute pair of travel size slippers that folded into an overnight toiletry bag. She loves the slippers and takes them with her everywhere! This store also has everything you would need to make your home seem warm and cozy. Two thumbs up for the Emerald Forest.Ariel Johns
This place has all sorts of interesting things to buy. ?Everything from beautiful pieces of jewelry, to plush gifts for a new baby. ?Beware that once you enter, you will want to purchase everything the store has to offer. ?The prices are pretty moderate, but some of the jewelry comes with a pretty hefty price tag.If you’re in search of unique and different gifts, this is definitely the place for you.
Thank god this place is right next to where I work antique pocket watches! The sales ladies are all extremely friendly and the store has the cutest stuff. I have never had to stress about whether or not they will have something for a friend’s birthday, holiday gift Wedding Jewelry, etc. they really have a great selection. Prices are on the high to moderate end, but in this case you get what you pay for. It’s not your usual chatchki store. If you want something wrapped, they do it right there for you which is great. I love this place.
Emerald Forest is a wonderful place for any gift that you might possibly need! (ok mostly for the female set… but that’s what’s important right!) They have a wonderful selection of unique jewelry, things that you won’t find at Nordstroms. ?They also have a selection of “eco-friendly” gifts such as Toms shoes and acetate free nail polish, which I love. It is true fashion jewelry, being in there makes you want to buy everything! Therefore, don’t come here if you are in a rush because you will certainly be late to wherever you are supposed to be!
